This is the second month of a new year. This is the first day of a new week, and a brand new day in and of itself. What will you do with today? What will you resolve to do? Who will you resolve to be?
As I sit here in the office and “look” outside to yet another day of highs in the teens and snow on the ground, I am thankful for a warm place to work/live and something hot to drink. Days like today lead me to think it’s a good time to grow inside.
Today, there is instant access to information that was not readily available a few short years ago. It is interesting that many who have a smart phone can access hundreds or even thousands of applications. Whatever did people do with their time before having all of this at their fingertips? Some actually opened their Bibles and read and studied. Christians are certainly commanded to do just that.
As we all know, we have now entered into a new year, a fresh start, a time for opportunity, a new beginning. Speaking of beginnings, I have again begun my yearly Bible reading this week with only being a few days into the new year. Creation has been on my mind, and I would like to share with you some thoughts
Welcome to the New Year. I pray that your 2013 was great, and I hope that you can look forward to an even better 2014! We often make resolutions to lose weight, get in shape, get out of debt, to read more, to spend less, to take more time with family, etc… What about a spiritual resolution to kick sin out of our life?
