Many skeptics of God and His word today put forth the argument that since God is a loving God, bad things shouldn’t happen to people. Since bad things do happen to good people, then there must not be a God. This Friday, brother Kyle Butt will be debating Dr. Bart Ehrman in Florence, AL (University of North Alabama) on this very subject. We will be showing this debate LIVE here at the building on Friday, April 4, 2014, at 6:00 p.m.
Spring has sprung! As of Thursday (3/20/14) the seasons have changed and we are no longer in the grip of winter. While we may not be completely in the clear yet, as far as winter weather is concerned, we can certainly look forward to and actually hope for warm weather and sunshine.
March is an interesting month with the time change happening and spring fever right around the corner. The weather is, also, very interesting this time of the year. If you have lived in Missouri very long, you are familiar with the quick changes that happen this time of the year.
The year is flying by! Here it is March already, and it is that time of year again for women to suit up in their aprons, grab their feather duster, broom, and commence to the annual event of spring cleaning! I would prefer to spring clean outside but that’s a different story. Just think with me for a minute. This comparison is not meant to be taken offensively by anyone cleaning this spring, I am simply using it as an example. Do you think it is enough to clean our house once a year or even twice a year? No. What happens to a house, a car, or anything if you clean it once and then never touch it again? It gets dirty again! Even if no one lives in or drives the car, it still gets dirty if no one cleans it every now and then. It takes weekly, if not daily, effort to keep a house clean.
