Jesus came to establish the church/kingdom. It was prophesied, looked for, and then set up and began on the day of Pentecost when 3000 precious souls were the first to be added. Since that time the church has existed and, according to scripture, will endure forever.

This is the second month of our calendar year. The “newness” has begun to wear off of 2017 and many of us might begin to look forward to springtime. Ready for winter to be over and the leaves and flowers to return.
“The Aim Is Love.” That was the title of my sermon last Sunday morning. The goal of the New Testament is love. God’s love toward us that sent Jesus. Jesus’ love toward us that saved us from sin. The Spirit’s love for us that inspired and preserved the Word. Our love for God, brethren, and mankind persuades us to faithfully obey His Word. This love must proceed from a pure heart, good conscience, and a genuine faith.
