This week we are blessed to have B. J. Clarke for our Gospel Meeting. The theme for the week is “What A Day!” During the week Brother Clarke will cover the days of creation, Noah, the exodus, the day of the cross, Pentecost, and judgment. I hope you are looking forward to these lessons as I am!
Sometimes you just need to get away. Today as you read this article, my family and I are on a road trip through the American Southwest. Hopefully this morning will find us worshiping with the Leonhardts in Scottsdale, AZ, and headed to the Grand Canyon tomorrow. This year the children get a week off for Spring Break and we are taking advantage of it!
There are lots of different ways to describe the mental state of someone. One of them is to say that a person has “lost it” or to say “you have lost your marbles”. Many times this is said in jest or in a joking manner.
There are many accounts in the Bible that are interesting. Perhaps, one of the more interesting is the one about the various plagues that God sends upon the Egyptians as their Pharaoh refuses to allow the children of Israel to be released.
“Read your Bible and pray everyday and you’ll grow, grow, grow!” These are the words to a song we often sing to our children at VBS and other events. They are still true but not that popular in today’s political climate.
