Ignoring our physical health can result in major problems.  If our health fails then it requires attention to get to feeling well again.  It is evident to us when we  don’t feel well.  Normally,  we will do what it takes to feel better.

Physical activity is good for you and one way to help your overall physical health.  One does not have to run a marathon or workout for hours for the activity to benefit you.  Any amount of activity will give some positive benefit.  This is the outcome of a recent study that was released by the federal government*.  The guidelines have changed to indicate that any amount of movement will do.

The old recommendation was for 10 minute bouts of aerobic exercise, but no longer.  Now 22 minutes of any movement will give some benefit.  Of course, the more the better.  The problem is the same as with the old recommendation, they both are mostly ignored.

This is truth that you have been presented with and some of you will go to the link at the bottom of the article and read more about this study.  However, some of you will ignore the statements of fact that have been shown to you and continue to live as you are now.

Perhaps, you are already exercising and taking care to improve or maintain your health.  If so, that is great and please continue.  However, a lot of us need to start doing more.

The teaching in the Bible presents many truths for our spiritual health.  This is even more important than our physical health.   Yet, the same thing applies.  Many will ignore the truths contained therein.

There are certain things that one must do in order to be right in the sight of God.

              One MUST

Hear the WordRomans 10:17  Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ-John 8:24

Repent of past sins-Acts 17:30-31;

Confess Jesus as the Son of God-Acts 8:36-39

Be Baptized for remission of sins-Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16; 1 Peter 3:21

Remain Faithful1 Corinthians 15:57-58; Revelation 2:10

Ignoring the call to exercise and help your physical health is not a good thing.   But you may live for many years without too much difficulty.  However, ignoring the commands in the Bible will instantly affect your spiritual health.  You will be separated from the God of Heaven and not have access to the spiritual blessings only found in Christ. (see Isaiah 59:1-2; Ephesians 1:3)

Please begin or continue to help yourself physically.  But, even more importantly, read, study, and obey the commands that will place you in the kingdom of Christ.
